The K9 Tourniquet has been engineered to work effectively on tapered anatomy, such as the leg of a K9, and is designed to be placed high on the limb. It has integrated traction technology that prevents the dog tourniquet from slipping down the animal’s leg, which would result in a loss of compression. The slippage is amplified when the animal is started to be moved and extricated. Slippage is a common occurrence when tourniquets or pressure dressings designed for humans are used on such tapered anatomy.
